Although Coach Keaney had to begin with only two first team veterans, good material was found to fill the gaps left in last year's roster by graduation, and an early spring and good Weather made possible a long pre-season practice period at Victory Field. Hustling Joe Boyce created a spark which spread to the rest of the infield. Fancy Dan McBride with his smooth fielding and timely hitting, was a valuable asset. John 0'Connell proved to he the mainstay of the moundsmen while Hankl' Germagian handled Very nicely the catchc-r's chores.
