Being eager to adapt ourselves to the cus- toms and traditions of this wonderful building, we soon began planning our many sophomore activities. First came the election of class officers. Top honors went to Richard Phelps, who was vote.l president. Jack Chinian was chosen vice president: Jean Gallagher, secretary: Jacqueline Nlenghi, treasurer: while Vharles Baboian, Elinor Nlorgan, and Steve Russian made up our executive committee. The highlight of our year was the Sophomore Party. That memorable night proved to be an outstanding success with Judith Miller and llarry Der Vartanian acting as co-chairmen. The program con- sisted of excellent. entertainment followed by dancing in the gym. studies looking forward with yearning to our senior year. At last the long-awaited year of 1946 came slyly in. After discussing our summer trips with our friends, we settled down to the more serious problems. Not content merely to be dignified Seniors, the class eagerly waited for election results. Lenox Vooper again took top honors as president: A'Hank Germagian became vice president, Elinor Morgan, secretary: and Jacqueline Menghi, treasurer. The executive committee was made up of Dorothy Doyle, Harry DerYartanian, and James Norbury. As soon as the oflieers had taken over their duties, the .lnnual staff was selected. l'Bob Dodge, one of our most prominent Seniors, was chosen as editor- in-chicf with Barbara Smart and Armen Esserian as assistant editors. The other committee chairmen were as follows: Graham Wright, Class Giftg Vathryn KlacDougall, Class Day: Jean Gallagher, lent cast: William Westgate, Sue llemphill, Barbara Harris, Steve Russian, Lenox Vooper, Doris XYIICTHII, James Norbury, and Graham Wiright. At our Senior Prom, held in Febru- ary, Johnny Alaura provided the nmsic. The gym was decorated in blue and white as a winter scene, with penguins and igloos, making this a memorable evening, the last senior dance of the year. hlany thanks were due to Mr. Moody and the Art Club for helping to make our l'rom a success. On April first the class enjoyed one of the eleverest 'tlfreak Days in the his- tory of the school, with many glamorous Seniors at their worst. Prizes were won by t'Sleepy Fletcher, Jean NIoonbeam Gallagher, the UC'lothesline Twins, Siroon Stepanian and Bea Pottie, and Bride Fournier and l'Groom Nazarian. r l'hough our last year seems to have slipped through our fingers, we shall always remember the banquet, when the ilnnuals were presented: Vlass Day: Baccalaureate: Class Ring: a11d Thomas Theurer, Senior and then, best of all, Graduation, when we 12125,-I finally received our diplomas and accepted I 1 I I l best wishes from our friends and bid fond amz' w-is se ectem -is our 91-mor .
