Twesme Receives Certificate For Service Mr. Twesme, Superintendent of Business Services, re- ceived a certificate signed by Governor Dreyfus during graduation ceremonies at WHS. This award commended Mr. Twesme for his contribution to education. Dr. Skaar, Superintendent of Schools, presented the award. There was no guest speaker at the exercises, but sever- al student speakers addressed the audience. Ursula Huber, AFS student from Austria, and Ximena Rivera, Rotary Exchange student from Bolivia, gave their fare- well speeches at commencement. A Joseph E. Tydings, grandson of Joseph E. Davies, presented a picture of his grandfather to WHS. Before the presentation, Mr. Tydings spoke about the life of his grandfather. The picture will be on display at the high school. I i l. Ximena Rivera bid the class of '79 farewell in a very emotional speech. 2. Ursula Huber thanked everyone in Watertown who made her stay possible. 3. Dr. Skaar congratulated Mr. Twesme on receiving a certificate from the governor. 4. Mr. LeRoy led the Wind Ensemble in the playing of Pomp and Circumstance during the processional. 26 Graduation
