' AY Seniors, Juniors Battle, Sophomores Third Pep week has always given students a chance to ex- press themselves and has allowed them to compete with the other classes. This year's turnout was exceptional and school spirit was uplifted prior to the big game. Members of all classes participated in many events: Toga Day, Pep Breakfast, Orange Pass, Egg Relay, Thumbs Up, Gunny Sack Race, Pep Beans, Book Drop, Dance Contest, Ice Cream Sale, Tug-A-War, Powder Puff Football, Hall Decorations, Store Window Paint- ing, Classroom Decoration, Class Skits, Teacher Imper- sonation, Pizza Eating, Car Painting, Walking Parade Entries, and, of course, the Float Competition. Hall decoration was an event which for the past few years was exempted from the competition because of vandalism. This year though, the decorations remained intact the whole week and was a pleasant sight for people walking through the halls. A see-sawing battle between the Seniors and Juniors was at full force by mid-week and the tension built as the final events were getting underway. But when the scores were added, the Seniors had won handily scoring 112 points, the Juniors second at 99 points, and the Sopho- mores a distant third at 41 points. l. Bill Miller and Belinda Bachler passed an orange to help the Seniors get a second place in this noonhour event. 2. Jeff Griffin impersonated Mr. Christensen during 4b lunch and came in first place. 3. The Seniors tugged their way to victory in the Tug-A-War competi- tion. 4. FHA served the Pep Breakfast on Tuesday of Homecoming week. Homecoming 13 Q
