Homecoming: What Better a time For a Parade A high aura of school spirit enveloped the Watertown High School during the week of Homecoming 1978. The last event before the football game has traditionally been the parade. Attendence was up this year due to unseason- ably warm weather, and additional school spirit. The parade was highlighted by the floats entered by the three classes and the various clubs. The Senior float won in the class competition, this year using the theme of the Road Runner and the coyote. The Juniors and Soph- omores took second and third respectively. The Art Club won the float competition among the clubs. Keeping up with a nationwide trend, the WHS march- ing band played disco type music in the parade. Some songs featured were Night Fever and Stayin' Alive . Students also admired the colorfully painted store windows on Main Street which brought the community merchants into the Homecoming scene. The window painting competion was by the Seniors to give them a pair of victories in the parade related competition. l. The Senior float used hydraulics to trap Wiley Coyote who rcprc- sented West Bend East. 2. The Art CIub's winning float was Wc'll Blot Out the Suns . I0 Homecoming

The Senior skit The Seven Dwarfs fell short of the Junior skit and came in second place 4. Kevin Field won the car painting 12 Homecoming
