?--- s .,. ,-...I F 4 Q, Goals You Strive to Achieve . . . What is your goal in life? Do you want to be a cook? a mechanic? a dancer? an artist? an actor? a secretary? Everyone gives us advice - teachers, parents, and friends try to persuade us to do what they think is right. Only we can make that important decision. While in high school, we may have certain goals that we would like to achieve. Our goals may be athletic, academic, or social. For years we may have dreamed of making the football team being a member of our favorite club getting a B on a geometry test getting an award. What direction did you take in '78-'79? Determine The Direction . . . Throughout our years of school we make many friends. We call them on the telephone, we ask for help in English, and we try to get in the same classes. We do everything together. But we all are individuals and have our own direction. The direction in which we go is determined by our goals. Some of us move forward, still searching for the things we want. The rest of us fall back on things that we have always wanted to do. After graduation our direction might lead us to college or to a job. Are you going to be a successful executive, a mechanic at a gas station, a housewife, . . . '?
