Soon we were officially received into the folds by our Superior Seniors, Caryl Pogue was chosen Queen, and George Smiley was chosen King of the Freshmen initiation. A new member, Derek Jones, of Wales, was welcomed into the class, The following officers were elected: Nancy Sherman, President, Rufus Roberts Jr, , Vice President, Jon Sanderson, Treasurer, Larry Hipple, Secretary, During the year we had several parties which were a lot of fun, Mr, Padgett was our class advisor, Our Sophomore year found us with twenty-one members, During the latter part of the year Everett Kirk left the class, The following officers were chosen to lead our class: George Smiley, Presidentg Vernon Fields, Vice President, Phyllis Ray, Secretary, and John Keller, Treasurer, Once again Mr, Padgett was our advisor, Twenty-one members composed our Junior class, Kyla Wilder from Tennessee started out the school year, but left before the end of the first semester, Our class was well represented in the Jr-Sr, play, As a result of losing the ticket selling contest we treated the Seniors to a theatre party, Our class sponsored a money making project in the form of a carnival which was a success both socially and financially, The highlight of that year was the Prom, our theme being Evening In Paris . The class officers were: Vernon Fields, President, Nancy Sherman, Vice President, Caryl Pogue, Secretary, and Phyllis Ray, Treasurer, Once more our class of twenty strolled into the halls of learning, but this time we are Seniors, During the first part of the year, Jerry Withey joined the Marines and Peggy Warren, who was with us until January, moved away, The following officers were chosen to lead the remaining eighteen: Caryl Pogue, President, Donna Olson, Vice President, and Jon Sanderson, Secretary-Treasurer. To help finance our Senior trip to Mackinac Island we had another carnival, but this year the Juniors joined us, During our Junior and Senior years, Mr, Robert Metcalf was our very helpful advisor,
