Sid dens ' Wrestlers ABOVE: Coach Siddens. Wrestlers are good because they have to keep up their reputation. All the guys want to wrestle as well as they can. I was very satisfied with the team until districts. We worked hard. We felt we had the best team in the state and we felt we could have won if . . . but there were too many ' its ' . We were undefeated — can ' t do much better, can we? We ' ve got 72 consecutive wins, we won Big 5, Big 9, Sectional, District, and the Wahawk tournament . . . that ' s deter- mination. The wrestlers are good, but they have the problem of living up to a record. They have talent! We were undefeated because we were balanced through all the weights. Our philosophy is ' be the best. New Coach Prompts 7-4 Season The team did very well this year, mainly because the girls were willing to work hard. I think the main problem is that so many girls are inex- perienced. They should have a program in junior high. really enjoy gymnastics. It ' s a lot of fun. ' Our strong points are trampoline and un- evens. We had 29 girls who were willing to get up five days a week for 6:15 practice— that ' s determination. They had lots of determination, and they were pretty good. But they didn ' t get enough publicity. Debbie Dun- ning led the team in every event ex- cept trampoline. She was really an asset.
