Fuel shortage? You mean there real- ly is one? Even though there isn ' t a fuel shortage, it ' s a good idea to con- serve fuel. I don ' t think the fuel shortage is as bad as people make it out to be. It ' s astonishing! The whole thing is a communistic plot to steal all our valuable funds. Why not take away the senior citizens ' gas privileges? A lot of people are mak- ing a lot of money off it. I really don ' t know if I believe in it or not. The fuel shortage is a plot for the oil com- panies. The sixteen year olds have to pay for their license to kill so why shouldn ' t they be able to use it? We should quit complaining and placing the blame and try to find some reasonable solutions. Teenagers have just as much right to drive as anyone else, except my sister, who never learned to drive in the first place. The fuel shortage is Nixon ' s payback for illegal campaign con- tributions. It ' s somebody ' s imagina- tion working overtime. Sixteen year olds are too immature to realize that gasoline must be saved: they lack the self-control to refrain from driving. Sixteen year olds should not have gas privileges until they learn to walk! TOP: Hitchhiking is made easier when you supply free gas. RIGHT: Although the gas shor- tage is not yet critical, many service stations found their supplies short at month ' s end. 11WB5a — ■— —■■■■
