Freedom at Lunch Open lunch is a good idea, but the litter is a problem. I think open lunch is a farce— there is not enough time. I don ' t use the privilege because you get a better deal at school. But just in case I want to use it. I ' m glad it ' s there. I love it— I go home for lunch everyday. It saves me money. I don ' t have a car, so I just go across the street and mess around. I usually go across the street and have a cigarette after I eat at school It ' s all right if the weather is good. I really like it. I go to Kings everyday and my parents never sign- ed my permission slip. You want to know how open lunch has affected me? — Bankrupt. I usually just eat here in the cafeteria— it ' s cheaper. think it ' s a good idea because the school lunch leaves a lot to be desired. Good idea, but who wants to stay after school to do it? Did we have one? I thought it was okay — if we make the mess we can clean it up. It didn ' t do any good— it needed to be more organized. He should have given people more time. We need another one before the first snowfall. pNHIipi ABOVE: Debbie Strottman still eats her lunch at school.
