Text from Pages 1 - 88 of the 1978 volume:

Do you remember ... the laughter and the tears the dreams throughout the years, the winter snow and the springtime sun all the things that we have done? Do you remember our. school years? Do you remember ... the good times and the bad times, too all the troubles we have strived through, the fun we've shared and the work we've done and reluctantly watching the setting sun? Do you remember our school years The sun begins to rise as the bird softly sings and we know we can make the best of what tomorrow brings when we look back and remember The Times of Our Lives Waterloo Public School Waterloo, Nebraska Table Of Contents Dedication ...............3 Administration ...........4 Seniors ..................7 Faculty .................15 Underclassmen ...........21 Grades ..................30 Homecoming ..............40 Athletics ...............43 Activities ..............55 Advertising .............65 Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing; And when you have reached the mountain top then you shall begin to climb; And when the earth shall claim your limbs then shall you truly dance. Whether they're rough and tough or full of fear. The first game makes its appearance; the cheerleaders jump for joy, As the players take the field like the Greeks over Troy. As the season progressed we all were possessed To have our Homecoming spirit be unlike the rest. On the day of the game all the students wander in, Waiting impatiently for school to begin. For the sooner it gets over the closer it will be To time of the game and the ball on the tee. Through long anticipation the game lingers on It was soon to be ended at thirty to none. And after the game, after the win, A day of preparation and the dance will begin. The queen is announced and the girls go wild, Then comes the king who is oh, so mild. As we leave the dance with our date, We will always remember Homecoming '78. „ ' • , -u. V, e 78 4M1 I n ) i :: w Homecoming Candidates: King-Scott Wiekhorst, Robin Knowlton, Bill Harm. We're the mighty seniors of Waterloo High. We are the greatest and here's the reason why: We take pride in ourselves and pride in our school. We're a little bit ROWDY, but mostly we're COOL. From Tim and Tom, to Becky and Beaner, There is no class any sharper or keener. We lost the spirit stick-that you know. But who stands a chance against eighty-Oh? The class of '78 has been through a lot. Sometimes we're peaceful, but sometimes we've fought. But even through conflicts, you'll have to admit. We stay together and we stay close-knit. So let's hear it for the Seniors, let's really give a cheer, Because time is running out, in this our final year. When we're all gone they'll probably pout. But all we’ll reply is, THANK GOD, WE’RE OUT! Robin Knowlton. 62 64 WESTERN STATE BANK Waterloo, Nebraska 779-2545 66 We’re 90 This Year But We Don Y Feel A Day Over 4 Four years ago we changed brands. We began producing and selling under the Golden Harvest Banner 86 years after J.C. Robinson founded Rob-See-Co in 1888. We're still family owned with 90 years of seed tradition and experience.
