Senior Classes The seniors pictured here--Jim, Phil, Don, and Bill are obtaining thorough understanding of problems dealing with Analytical Geometry, Solid Geometry, Trigonometry, Cal: culus, and getting a picture of work entailed in the study of probability and statistics. Each student will be enabled to | enroll in any college, and pursue the vocation of his choice with as little adjustment as possible to the increased tempo | of curriculum offerings, The small class creates a healthy environment conducive) to good learning. | . we % % English é. Mat The blackboards aren't the only things that are blank in Senior English classes. Take Mr. Worley's scalp, for exam- ple. (You say somebody has already taken it?) Or take the thoughts of the scholars whose backs are so beautifully pho- tographed. Of course, there's some activity in Room 9, Clinton, angry because he split an infinitive, has just given himself a stiff left to the cheek. Norman is all attention; he thinks the teacher is about to pass out some money. And Jerry is certainly not asleep; on the contrary, he’s reading his marks upside down from Mr. Worley's gradebook. Sally, Coleen, and Valetta have wasted no t ime in getting to the day’s assignment: undangling a participle. Ronnie has his chair pushed back, all ready for a fast getaway in case the word test is mentioned. Marsha watches Keith watching Dick read. And over on the bulletin board the educated giraffe seems to be saying, It may be English, but it ain't senior! . . while visions of amendments danced in their heads. In spite of the faci that the Seniors take every assignment so seriously, the study of American Government is a pretty humorous adventure. Linda's apparent happiness is her natural reaction to maps. While Phil looks over his paper, Frances is busy wrapping Christmas packages. Don has already read the jokes three times so his is a rather knowledgeable grin. The empty chairs mutely testify for those who, after think: ing twice, decided to stay at home. Bookkeeping The senior bookkeeping course includes materials on social security taxes, personal budgeting, and family bookkeeping records that will be helprul to all individuals regardless of their future occupations, All of this material is a matter of importance to everyone, because it is necessary to meet the obligation to our government--local, state, and national. At the end of each semester, the bookkeepers complete a practice set with business papers in order to use what they have learned in class.
