In September, 1949, thirty-five little first graders started their first big day at Waterloo school. It was a big day for all of us; although fearful of this new experi- ence, we soon grew to like it. Before long, we advancedtoJunior High. We were all intrigued by the vast upstairs. We all felt so big and proud of ourselves. Ourteachers in Junior High were Mr. Fries and Mr. McIntosh. At last, we finally became a part of the High School-- Freshmen! We gained quite a large number of new members from surrounding country schools. Our class now numbered sixty. Mr. Bourquin was our first high school sponsor. In our Sophomore year we purchased our class sweaters. We picked charcoal sweaters with pink let- ters. Also, we added quite a bitto our class treasury, withthe sale of Christmas cards. Mr. Johnson was our sponsor in our sophomore year. Our Junior year in school was a year with quite a bit of hard work. This year we had the Junior store. We worked very hard and realized a large profit. We also sold cookies this year. During our Junior year we purchased ourclass rings. We also produced our first class play, ''Nothing But Nonsense . We all had a lot of fun putting on our Junior play. At last we were finally Seniors! Mrs. Love and Mr. Ford helped us with our projects andthe making of plans forour Seniortrip. Wegaveour class play, ''Books and Crooks , which was a great success. Another big pro- ject during our senior year was the Homecoming Dance sponsored by our class. We enjoyed the dance, and it was abig thrillto haveasenior, Linda Muzzillo, elected Homecoming Queen. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our trip to Washington, D.C. and New York. Nowwe are all await- ing the big day when we will receive our diplomas and be onour way towardour goal in life. Yet we know that it will be a sad day, because we leave our friends and memories of Waterloo High School. THE KENNEDY S ARE HARD NIX On PRESIDE eS tt yp ah HENRY CABOT LODGE RI c FOR VICE PRESIDE r
