Because mathematics is es- sential in many fields of endeavor, the Waterloo High School Mathe- matics Department, headed by Mr. Ford, offers the students a broad and integrated foundation inthis course. Thanks to the able instruction of Mr. Ford, the stu- dent finds himself more capable of handling involved equations and intricate graphs, as shown in the picture of Mr. Ford's Advanced Algebra Class. In the biology classes, head- ed by Mr. Berg, students become familiar with such terms as osmosis and photosynthesis, as they view the microscopic world of the amoeba. Through dissection, students acquire a knowledge of the intri- cate internal parts of animals. This knowledge helps them to bet- ter understand the functions of the human body.
