CLASS OF ’60 HISTORY In 1948, forty-one bright-eyed, mischievous little children entered the door of Waterloo school. Out of this group twenty- two of them spent all of their school years at Waterloo. After eight years of hard work and fun we finally reached our eighth grade promotion. At last we began our Freshman year. Mrs. Voss was our spon- sor that year. We started our money-making projects for our Senior trip by selling candy and having skating parties. In our Sophomore year our sponsor was Mrs. Peacock. Shortly after school convened, Mrs. Peacock took a leave of absence. Mr. Berg took over the responsibilities of the Sophonapre Class. At this time the main project of the class was the sale of greeting cards. Under his supervision the sales were exceptionally good. Mrs. Peacock returned after eight weeks. Other projects that year were skating parties and a bake sale. We got our class sweaters also. In our Junior year Mr. Ford led us through a pleasant and suc- cessful year. Our main projects were the concession stand and WAY I the sale of pop. We also had bake sales, several sock hops, a car hs wash, a skating party, a WPTA record hop, and a most successful class play, Home Sweet Homicide, ” Love. We also purchased our class rings. Just after school closed the class had an ice cream social and bake sale. TEACHER 3 ee under the direction of Mrs. Finally with hearts filled with joys, disappointments, and hopes for the future, we entered our Senior year. Mrs. Love, our spon- sor, guided us through this, our most important and successful year. This year we sponsored the annual magazine sale, a bake sale, a homecoming dance, several record hops and paper drives and another successful class play, “Belvedere.” We also published our annual. After twelve years of struggle, we finally reached our goal - graduation and the long awaited Senior trip. We wish to thank our parents and teachers and all of the other people who have made this goal possible. We also want to thank Mrs. Love and Mr. Bourquin for being our chaperones. Our trip exceeded all our expectations.
