PROPHECY Today as I was watching Paul Mettert's Noon News on television, I heard that Don Bard has just been promoted to Dean of Tri-State College. This was followed by Steve Graham's Farms and Farmerse Both shows are sponsored by the millionaire Tim Colbart, who made his fortune invent- ing undentible fenders. Before I had a chance to turn off the television, that well-known soap opera Peter Revolver, written by Beverly Johnston, came on. This program is sponsored by Georgia and Betty's Pizza Palace. The role of Peter Revolver was played by Jim Sutton, with'Margaret Smith as his gun-moll. This was such an interesting program that I decided to watch television for awhile. Next came the program Quiet Burp. This was a Western p rogram starring Keith Tarney with his sidekick Steve Rungee Since there is always a girl in a Western program, I wondered who would be in the show. It was Laura Lautzenhiser. She was very cute in her Western dress. This program was sponsored by Judy's Beauty Salon. Everett and the former Judy Squier are now happily married and have a home of their own in Corunna, Indiana. When I saw the advertisement of Judy's Beauty Salon, it re- minded me of Virginia Rhoads, who was Judy's best friend in high school. Virginia is now a house- wife happily married to her Bob. As I saw so many of my classmates on those television programs, I began to think of all the other classmates I had at Waterloo. Where are they and what are they doing? John Piatek is now judge of the DeKalb Circuit Court in Auburn, Indiana. He was admitted as judge because as a law- yer, he made the people laugh so much he never lost a case. Mary Lou Payton is very happily married. She and Deb have a family and a home of their own now. They had to add a special room to their home to house the vibraharp. Barbara Skelly is an executive secretary. She works for Macy's in New York City. I understand she practically runs the place. Bob Buss is playing bas- ketball with the Detroit Pistons. He had the distinction of being the country's shortest pro- fessional basketball player. Wayne Myers is still digging potatoes, but he now owns most of the potato business in Indiana. Bill Clark and Jon Hire are officers in the United States Navy. The Pentagon almost never got them away from the beaches of Hawaii. Lucille Miller is teaching at Notre Dame. She is the only woman on campus; and boy, can she ever tell the students. Bill Christman is Superintendent of the Indiana State Police. I read in the newspaper that he just received this position two weeks ago. His motto always was “If you can't beat ‘em, join ‘'em. I remember how Joe Harter always liked to work with cars. He is afraid to go fast now with Bill on the police force. Keith Miser is making his first million dollars as a scientist. He just perfected a new moon rocket. Twenty-five people can ride in this one; the only trouble is that it's a one-way trip. Herb Rynearson is farming and working on his second million dollars. He gave up on his first million. Ruth Ordway and Dana Brandon are both private secretaries working in New York City now. Ruth does the shorthand and Dana does the typing. That way they are able to hold one job between theme Sonia Cherry's dream of becoming a secretary came true, but she didn't work long. I re- ceived an invitation yesterday to her wedding; she is marrying the boss. Wayne Luttman's dream of becoming a scientist came true, also. He is working on getting Keith's people back from the moone The last I heard, Dave Crossley was in Las Vegase He just bought half of the city with money he won there using his private formula. Barbara Makovicka now lives in Los Angelese Mac's job took them there. I remember her as Barbara Kline. Ken Harding and Tom Gettys are still around Waterloo. Tom is married to the former Sharon Harris, but Ken is still looking. Bill Kennedy bought what used to be Sherburn's Standard Station with tips he saved over the years. It is now known as Bill's Super Service. Dave Coleman is teaching agriculture in Waterloo High School. He recently turned the baseball diamond into a corn field. Dale Myers is married to Pat Patterson; he has a $10,000 a year job in Chicago, Illinois, as a straight man to the monkeys in Lincoln Park Zoo. CLASS POEM For W.H.S. we really shine; We are the class of '59. At the top of the list is one named Don, And our annual editor's name is John. Dana is the best typist by far, Then Bob Buss, who's a basketball star. Next in line is Mary Lou; To her fiance she's true. For pizza they are always ready; Yes, it's Georgia, Maggie, and Betty. In the senior play the little black spark Was none other than Bill Clark. Dave Crossley is 2 IWeye Cpe sigbtel,, Dave Coleman is a doctor's son. With friends Bill Christman is a card, But in class he studies hard. Judy Squier is bound to marry, But who knows what for Sonia Cherry? We have two class jokers-- one is Jim, The other one is good ‘ole Tim. In speech they make noise like a bomb; They are Herbie, Ken, and Tom. Our magazine sales were topped by Joe; Then there's Steve R., who never drives slow. But not Steve G.--- when he comes to town, Or Bill K.--- they always slow down. Jon Hire is a bashful lad, 19 And in class he is never bad. Barbara Kline is our class queen; At the summer festival she reigned supreme. Lautzenhiser-- who can spell it? None but Laura so they tell it. Wayne L., a smart Corunna boy, Comes to school for lots of joy. Lucille Miller is college bound; She's one of the best to be found. Keith Miser really gets a charge When with his camera he's at large. To these two, basketballs aren't toys; They're Dale and Wayne-- the Myers boys. Every noon in study hall You can be sure you will find Paul. Virginia is another bride-to-be, But Bev and Ruth will wait and see. Barbara Skelly works like a trooper; At helping our class, she is super. When it comes to being tall, Our own Keith Tarney 9 tops them all. We wish to thank our sponsors true; Without their help, what could we do? These are the names that rise above; They're Mrs. Love and Mr. Dove. Who wrote this poem? so you will know, I'11 sign my name before I go.--Judy Till
