Actually you have only started to accumulate the vast store of knowledge you will possess eventually. Among the basic understandings and skills that you have ac- quired l hope you now possess a friendly word, a warm smile, a cheerful gesture, and a sincere compassion for your fellow man for these things are contagious and serve as an antidote for the hostile expression, the troubled frown, the disagreeable action and the lack of sympathy and understanding of the self-centered bore. GUIDANCE PRINCIPAL TO THE CLASS OF '64 Your parents, teachers, and taxpayers of Waterloo have a great deal of time and money invested in'each one of you, and they expect, in return,that you do your share in the life ahead of you to make your community, your state, your nation, and yes, your world a little better than you found it. You have received much from your school, most of which you cannot properly evaluate until you have reached maturity. Your teachers and principal hope you will realize the greatest amount of good from this educational fund, accumulated over a period of twelve years.
