class hlS1ZOl2 On September 6 1950 the Class of 54 surged unto W C S with a bang Under the leadershlp of Valerie Anderson Gayland DeWaIl Beverly Holmes and Dorothy Schopp wuth Mr Preston and Mrs Fay for our advusors we made Sl3O sellmg statlonery We had a wonderful time planning our flrst dance 'The Surprise Hop and bud for the assembly cup wnth 'The Guilty Ones comedy about the llbrary Don Osborne and Donme loucks filled our seats In the Student Council Gayland DeWalI Bob Serafnno Glorna Chnstuano and Loss Thayer took the rems nn our Sophomore year Basket ball refreshment sales ennched our treasury Once agam we donned a dramatic alr to produce a serles of sklts called the Dos and Donts of Datlng for our assembly We dud a swell lob decoratlng for Club 54 our Soph dance Sam French and Gcyland DeWall represented us on the Councnl Our Jumor offrcers Sam French Don Osborne Phyllls Jones and Ken Sherldan kept us busy as beavers and our treasury swelled as we sold over S2 OOO worth of maga zmes We captured the assembly cup with Back From Yesterday a colonial comedy coached by Mr Dew our new advusor and klcked up our heels for February Frol c our fall round and square dance All Around the Town plus a boost to our bank account We really went over board for Deep Sea Fantasy our Jumor Prom Kung Phulup Jones Queen Iva Garrett and their Court of Honor Marguente Luffman Anne Curle Lols Thayer and Phyllis Jones reigned over an undersea kingdom of mermalds flshnets and porpolses We made money too Anne Curle and Kenny Sherudan were elected to the Councll As September rolled around for our fmal session Ed Hmdle Phulnp Jones Anne Curle and Kenny Shendan took the wheel to guude us carefully through our first acute attack of Semorltus a severe dlsease Under the dlrectlon of our new advesor Mrs Stanbaugh we pounded the streets soarmg our Chrlstmas card sales to the sky Our poor Yankee souls crlnged wuth each Southern drawl as we wept and roared through The Great Bug Doorstep our Semor Play We lumped the Atlantnc for Evemng ln Pans our Semor Ball and crowned Bob Serafano and Valerie Anderson Kung and Queen of our candlelnt bubbling cafe style Pans Shevla Halladay Louise Brown Lmda French and Beverly Holmes were Attendants We were represented on the Student Councll by Ed Hmdle Don Osborne and Dorothy Schopp as Presudent Suddenly we were off luke a flash to New York the bug cnty on our long awauted Semor trap No words can express the won derful tume we had All too soon the cruclal moment graduatlon drew near and the Class of 54 surged into the wnde wlde world to scatter to the four wands 8 , .
