ix in louis Anderson Betty Teller Edwin Halladay Charles Sosber Gordon Hemzmon C Percy Wright Alfred Cogguns Hiram Mierlie .4 Mr, Albert Brown, Supervising Principal To the class of 54: You are about to assume the many responsibilities life will thrust upon you. ln all too short a time you will be looking back at these your adulthood years, some with satisfaction, others with regret. I can only but wish that your lives will be so filled with accomplishments and happiness that all your memo- ries will be pleasant ones. Some of those accomplishments will be achieved through mental ability, some through initiative and hard work, and some through manual dexterity. Too often our society has overemphasized the importance, real as it is, of those positions requiring head work. Yet the work of the world requires those who can use their hands in the building of structures and machines. To those of you who are so gifted, remember the importance and vital contribution your hands can make in our democratic society. Cherish your work, and with pride help build a better America. 3
