Vocal technique, voice development, tone development, and voice control are the four basic things learned in our vocal classes, glee club and a capella choir. These groups are also in demand for assemblies, concerts, plays, and local af- fairs. From these two classes ensembles, trios, and other groups are made up. WTHS had the only choir to gain all first place ratings in the music entries at the Michigan District 4 Solo and Ensemble Festival, held in Royal Oak on February 15. 1 Mr. Meier Mr. Perrin Practice for the vocal ensembles are often held around the piano during class or lunch time. Mr. Perrin, band leader, stops practice to point out a detail to Karen Peterson, who plays the flute.
