nest Class Passengel S '7 .,,,,,..if 5x Bud M1l1m1ne presldent B1llToml1nson v1ce presxdent Jeannlne Moran secretary and Dorothy Aust1n treasurer were chosen by the class of 50 to lead them through the1r sen1or year The off1cers were ass1sted by Mr Doeksen the class sponsor The flrst problem of the class was to ralse money for the semor trlp Several dances were sponsored by the class ln the fall Among them were a dance after the Clarkston football game and the Hallowe en dance whlch featured a colored band from Detroxt At Thanksglvlng txme the class came up wlth a novel xdea and sponsored a comblnatlon turkey raffle and dance for the resxdents of Waterford Townshlp. Proceeds from thls and the County Falr went mto the m creaslng trlp fund. The County Falr, whlch netted 3350, had a cake walk, country store, Charlle Chaplln movles, and a fxsh pond. In Aprll came the hlghlxght of the soclal events, the Semor Prom By thls txme all thelr money makxng 8CtlVltl6S had brought ln more than enough for the semor trlp fund. The semor encampment was the last week of May at St Mary's Lake Camp near Battle Creek. The theme of the trlp was soclal problems Whxle at the camp the class had people ln to speak to them and present some phases of the subject. Then each semor had to prepare a paper on some aspect of the questxon.
