Kettering's Golf Team improved in many ways from last year. Their biggest win came against a cross town rival, Waterford Township, when they won a double meet, 407- 411. ln addition to being the team captain, john Gibson set a new school record for nine holes, a three under par thirty-three at Pontiac Country Club. In the area tournaments, the Oakland Press Invitational, Wayne- Oakland League Tournament and the State Regionals, Kettering finished tenth, third and twelfth respectively. This year's ten member team consisted of three seniors, six juniors and one sophomore. With so many juniors returning, next year's team should pose a threat to opponents. jim Chubb practices swing before teeing off.
