The main objective of the Home Economics Department is to help young people gain practical home economic skills and to encourage the develop- ment of understanding inter- personal relationships. This year the courses were arranged into single semester programs so that more stu- dents could elect them. Video -tape machines were used for the first time this year. The house that The Building Trades home con- struction project in Drayton Woods is becoming c l o s e r and closer to completion every school day. This is one many programs offered by the school district to the students in the three Waterford high schools. Bu il ding trades enables many students to gain the Valuable experi- ence needed to get a good con- struction or c a rp ent ry job. The house, when completed will be sold.
