-N N N N X CJAYIJ' Dan Watkins, john Felts, and john Ellis and fellow class- mates take a break after completing a test. Mark Agorgianitis, Sandy Oertel, Lori Holland and john McCaffrey do an experiment in sound on Greg Morgan. Some of the social studies classes may seem new but they are not. They are just being taught in a different man- ner. Teachers have new books and re- sources to help the student better under- stand history and government. We had a new United States History teacher at Kettering this year. Mr. Ziem, attended Albion College and taught at Crary Junior High in Waterford before joining the Kettering staff. In ad- dition to teaching, Mr. Ziem coached the junior Varsity Basketball Team. There is a wide Variety of social studies class for Kettering students to choose from. This year's Science Depart- ment courses covered areas rang- ing from the unknowns of chemistry to human physiology. As a result of a down fall of heavy snow, the school greenhouse collapsed. The science classes united to reconstruct the green- house and replant the numerous plants. The students were aided in this task by the Science Department teachers, Mr. Will Garrett, Mr. Earl I-look, Mr. Roger johnson and Mr. Emerson White.
