Z The little station with the big voice Although it may not rock all the time, Ket- tering's Radio Station, WTSD, plays music for a greater Variety of people than students realize. Since its founding in the l960's, WTSD has steadily grown in size and popularity under the watchful guidance of Station Director Mirhan Kupelian. Mr. Kupelian is assisted by Mr. Greg Lestan. Students from other schools in the district also come to Kettering for radio classes and exposure to the radio world. Kathy Grogan and Dale Widger decide the records that should be played during the next show. ff-in

-N N N N X CJAYIJ' Dan Watkins, john Felts, and john Ellis and fellow class- mates take a break after completing a test. Mark Agorgianitis, Sandy Oertel, Lori Holland and john McCaffrey do an experiment in sound on Greg Morgan. Some of the social studies classes may seem new but they are not. They are just being taught in a different man- ner. Teachers have new books and re- sources to help the student better under- stand history and government. We had a new United States History teacher at Kettering this year. Mr. Ziem, attended Albion College and taught at Crary Junior High in Waterford before joining the Kettering staff. In ad- dition to teaching, Mr. Ziem coached the junior Varsity Basketball Team. There is a wide Variety of social studies class for Kettering students to choose from.
