I . Spirit Week is successful Psychology teacher, Mr. Ken Frenkel was dressed in the appropriate attire for '50's day of Spirit Week. Spirit Week, sponsored by Student Council was one of the most successful endeavors of the school year. Spirit Week really speaks for itself. It was a week for students and teachers at Kettering to show just how much school spirit they had. Each day of the week was des- ignated as a specific spirit day. Points were given to students who wore the appropriate dress for the day. Most school spirit was shown on Tuesday which was designated as '50's day. Students and teachers dressed in styles of the 195O's. Mr. Willis Garrett, joined with the students in participating in '50's dress day.

Homecoming dreams smashed b West Bloomfield Mr. Fry presents a dozen mums to Queen A victory could not be secured by Kettering Captains at the Homecoming game. Babette. Homecoming brought a Weekend full of excitement for everyone. The game on Friday night against West Bloomfield was filled with lots of action. Alumni and cheerleaders cheered the team on. Alumni were also represented in the floats with Kettering students. The band put on a great half time show for the en- joyment of the spectators. Members of the homecoming court arrived on the field in antique cars and stood before the crowd to be watched by hundreds of people. The dance on Saturday night was a great Way to end a homecoming weekend at Waterford Kettering. Debbie Allen, Judy Riabucha, jill Findlay, Sue Coryell, Candy Babb, Sue Collins, Karen Shifner, Tammy Bigelow, Vicki Whitehead got the crowd cheering. 31
