Mrs. Patricia Kent and Kathy Riley discuss issues with Charlie Har- rison following an Election Assembly. 1 Patrolman Erikson of the Michigan State Police visited the school and conducted a discussion with several students.

Kettering dances flop Rick Fagan, Karl F1-oling, leigh Gurk and Mary Reinhart wait in line for Mr. Capistrant to sell concessions at the Sadie Hawkins Dance . Randy Tompson escourts Lori Tompson into Sadie Hawkins Dance. , , Q , ' z .- Clean up, after, the After Game Dance. The dances this year were not that successful. Hardly anyone came to the After Game Dance spon- sored by Student Council and the same with Sadie Hawkins sponsored by jun- ior Class. The Homecom- ing Dance sponsored by Student Council was the most successful.

Dan Saylor, john Gorte and Gary Mueller are part of a group that per- formed during the Orientation Assembly. The name of the eight mem- ber group was Billy and the Blemishes. Mr. Garrett and Mr. Elliston participated in the cheerleading skit presented at the Homecoming Assembly. Sandy Cox and Kim Britt showed the cheers to the actors. Students gathered to share ideas This year there was quite a range of assemblies including the annual Orientation Assembly at which new students and faculty are welcomed to Kettering. Other assemblies throughout the year included the Homecoming Assem- bly during which the Homecoming King and Queen are introduced. Pep Assem- blies were also a part of the school year. The Christmas Assembly included a slide presentation that accompanied the musical selections of the choir and the band. A Crime Prevention Assembly was presented by the Oakland County Sher- iff's Department. Prior to the Novem- ber Elections, several candidates for public office spoke to Kettering students. Martin, Sulkanen asks Mr. Kerry Kammer about his abili- ties to handle the public office he was seeking. This took place at an Election Assembly.
