Our Alma Mater dear, You lead us ever onward, To knowledge and to truth. Your praises now we loudly sing As we pledge ourselves so true By lives of worth and high endeavor Honor e'er to you. Our emblem of strength and youth. Your colors, red and white, Will stand before us ever A symbol of your truth. We sing to you with pride sincere And promise e'er to try To prove our love for you, our own — Dear Waterford-Halfmoon High. 1967 79 This year of 1967 is our best. As seniors, each of us has gained an appreciation of our school and our work together. Our fondest memories are of experiences shared: the exuberance after the winning points were scored in the basketball game of the season; the tense moments before the test and the pensive concentration in complet- ing it; the faint monotone of the morning announcements; the lively banter in gym class; the gab fests at lunch; the noisy clamor of the late bus crowd; the crucial moment as two teams battle over the final point in the Little Red Schoolhouse Contest on Moving-Up Day; the jittery stomachs on debate days in history; the last minute glances at notes on the way up the hall; the si- lent tears shed as the graduates leave the stage each year. These are the many elements of student life we cherish. These are the memories to be held forever in our hearts. 80 Working as a class, we have achieved many things, but more important than final successes are the hours and days of preparation and dedication which brought these accomplishments. We compile this book for many rea- sons but the ultimate purpose of our yearbook is to leave a reminder with each member of the class of 1967 of the moments and the years that have made up his life in our class and school. Through the pictures and words we have shown on these pages, we hope you recall an event, a good time shared and pleasant to look back on. We extend our thanks to Joe Winchell, our yearbook photographer, who has preserved so many of the greatest moments in a great way. We also extend congratulations to all the graduates. It has been a wonderful journey that we have taken together, now it ends, but all of us go on and the staff of the 1967 Fordian wishes each grad- uate the very best luck in the future.
