Junlon pnom The lights were dim as Bud Wilbur's orchestra be- gan softly playing the first strains of Harbor Lights our dreamy theme song. A sigh was heard as the cur- tains opened, bringing into view the orchestra silhou- etted against a view you might behold from any har- bor. n King Dave Rockrohr placed a flowered crown upon the head of his lovely Queen Anita Coverdale, and they moved gracefully down the staircase. The Court ofHonor, w ich consisted ofMarcia Dahl, Gayle Heck, Barbara Johncox, and Beverly Smetana follow- ed. The parade of beautifully dressed young men and women moved slowly toward the rear of the gym. Eerie illumination was provided by giant light- houses, their beams flowing upona magnificent tropi- cal island, the centerpiece of the dance floor. The parade ofdancers moved on to form a circle about the gym. At this time, little Marcia Cahill and Johnny Edwards distributed dance programs among the couples. The dreamy waltz tempo of Harbor Lights eckoned the couples onto the floor and they were encompassed by the enchantment of the moment. Thelunior Prom Harbor Li hrs held on May 8, 1952, was one of the most successgilhigh lights of the school year. Miss Fisher is the faculty sponsor for this annual event.
