Dena tried to find happiness without Tim and wound up falling in love with gang-leader from New York's lower east side. They married and had 16 delinquent children. Tim, on the other hand, ended up marrying into the Melvin Klein family and marketing his own line of men's designer underwear. Bob Doty made his fantasy of owning the Generic Brand Beer Distributorship in Broome, Texas become a reality, but then left it to change fantasies. lt seems that a wandering band of Hare Krishna monks stopped in Broome one day to purchase some of Bob's product. After guzzling several 12-packs, the itinerant monks were able to convert Bob and he became a Hare Krishna evangelist. Bob quickly recruited Julian Jalomo into his new fantasy as his sidekick songleader and they roamed across west Texas holding tent revivals in major cities like Salt Gap, Bear Valley and Bronte. One evening while crusading Mertzon, Bob and Julian wound up at the Mertzon Ford Tractor Dealership where Calvin Cafes was living out his fantasy as the biggest volume dealer of Ford Riding Lawnmowers in the world. Bob and Julian became Calvin's leading salesmen of used riding lawnmowers and backed up their sales with expert service from ace mechanic, Trina Owens. Trina set a Guinness Book of World Records mark for being able to overhaul a lawnmower engine in less than 3 minutes, 29 seconds. To reward his staff's outstanding performance, Calvin took them all on a round-the- world trip in his hot-air balloon sponsored by Motorcraft Sparkplugs. Pam, Becky and Gaynell went to Los Angeles seeking fame and fortune. Pam became a Los Angeles Flam's cheerleader and did a ram-tough job of screaming at opposing teams. Becky wound up at the beach where she flirted with all the lifeguards and body- builders, hung ten on her surfboard and played volleyball with all the beach boys and surfer girls. Gaynell won an oscar, a grammy, and an emmy award for her role in the movie, Fast Times at Water Valley High, and then appeared on solid gold to sing her solid gold hit, Heart of Glass, with Andy Gibb. After many appearances on TV talk shows and magazine covers she rejoined Pam and Becky and drove Becky's Woody back to the island. 48 PAM GONZALES CHRIS HOERSTER DAVID JONES BECKY HARGRAVES JULIAN JALOMA MARK LASATEFZ

Flying on a chartered Rio Airlines plane to Mr. Roark's neighborhood, they all thrilled at the prospect of living out their wildest hallucinations for five glorious days. Upon arrival, they checked into the Wildcat suites of the Heartbreak Hotel and wandered over to meet Mr. Roark and his skilled and effective sidekick, Tattoo. After introductions and much merry-making, they all drove over to the Yellow Dirt Road in Mr. Roark's golf cart to begin their journey. Miss Herridge stayed at the Dew Drop lnn with Tattoo and played the Ms. Pac Man game and listened to jungle music on the Muzark system while sipping V-8 juice. Dusty, Richard, Kim and Cornell chose the Rodeo Fantasy and won lots of belt buckles and saddles for their skill at Bull Shooting, Bull Throwing, dancing the Cotton-Eye Joe, and wearing tight-fitting jeans. Kim married a rodeo clown named Bandy and hired a wino to decorate their Rodeo Arena. Dusty found a redneck girl to go with his white socks and Blue Ribbons but she took his Senior ring and ran off with a truck driver. Cornell was sent to prison for cheating on a mechanical bull ride and when Richard drove his pick-up in the rain to pick her up at the station she had missed her train. Vicki, Sharon, Kindra and Benita went to Woodstock in their fantasy and stole the show by performing as the spaced-out sisters and singing their smash hit, Another Brick in the Ear. After the festival they took the Lo've Boat back to the island and chaperoned Mr. and Mrs. Greer Willis on their honeymoon. Chris and Ted represented Poland at the Moscow Olympics. Chris was disqualified for throwing his discus into the stands and then was sent to Siberia to tan bear skins for being an American spy. He was arrested because he wore number 007 on his uniform and signed his letters home with From Russia, with Love. Ted was disqualified from being the official Polish Olympic photographer when the KGB caught him in the woman's locker room singing, Baby l'm Amazed. 47

SHARON MAFIOUM KINDRA OAKES BENITA SAFIGENT BILLY MONTGOMERY I hk - OOOO A TRINA OWENS TIM SMITH Billy and Kenneth started off on a surfing safari with Becky, but took a wrong turn and found themselves on Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom with Marlin Perkins who happened to be on a safari in Nigeria, hunting the rare club-footed hyena. They were attacked by a band of hair-lipped pygmies who speared Billy in the earlobe and bit off Kenneth's big toe. Billy gained over a thousand yards against the pygmies. Mark went to Hollywood and told talent scouts there that he was Burt Reynolds' brother. He was given a job as the stunt man for, That's Incredible and as a double for, Those Amazing Animals. Eventually, he got into the twilight zone and found his way back to Water Valley. Robin's fantasy took her to Rome where she became a singing nun. She soon retired and joined the circus to perform with the amazing trick dog act. She ran into Tim Blair and Gerald Stover who had opened a snowmobile and dog sled repair shop in Colorado. Robin sold her dogs to Tim and Gerald who rented them as sled dogs and she started singing with John Denver. Tim and Gerald eventually won the world cup of snowmobiling with dogs, while Robin's first single, Some days are Zirconium, Some Day's Stink, went platinum. Diann went to Broadway to try her luck as Lady Bracknell. She finally got a role playing the part of Ophelia in Hamlet. Her fantasy was to be or not to be . . .She decided not to be and returned early to the island in time to catch Coach Mounts in his fantasy as being the executive vice- principal at Texas ASM where Mr. Fleming was the president of the school. At the end of 5 days, all the seniors returned to find David still at the yellow dirt road trying to decide which fantasy to choose. He had a hard time because he lives in a dream world most of the time and he could not really tell what was fantasy and what was reality. It was a trip they'll never forget. Especially the good bye party where Tattoo put a string of flowers around Nurse Dolly Herridge's neck and kissed Ted on the shin. 49
