CHEERLEADERS Pam Gonzales, Head Tina Beebe Sharie Cavaness Pam Williford When asked, Why do you enjoy cheerleading? Pam Gonzalez responded, Being a cheerleader is an honor as well as a sport. Cheerleading with Pam Williford, Sharie Cavneu, and Tina Boobo was great fun. We had never worked together before, but it was a ioy becoming acquainted with each other. Friday nights were so exciting with all the jumping, yelling, and silly actions. Cheerleading required several hours of preparation, but it was time that was valued. Just knowing that you were out there leading yells and supporting your team makes it all worthwhile, TWIRLERS Becky Hargraves Gaynell Glass There is nothing like it in the whole world. Twirling with your best friend can be the greatest fun! stated Becky Hargraves. Twirling is an exciting halftime performance where you have a chance to represent your school and entertain the fans. Gaynell and I enjoyed the excitement of twirling even though it required work and a little sweat to 'get it together.' We were always eager to strut out on the field carrying our butterflies right along with us, hoping we wouldn't forget the routine or drop the baton. 97
