AT SEA Christmas with us. photographers could not encompass in their lens. the traditional Mass to usher in the Holy Holiday in the area. I HAULING IN A LOAD OF MAIL... CHRISTMAS On Christmas Eve, Hangar Bay qll rang with Christmas carols, as all hands packed in to listen to a Christmas Holiday routine was welcomed by all hands on Christmas Day, during which we enioyed double features and a turkey dinner which was out of this world. A few days later, Cardinal Spellman flew aboard our sister carrier which had reioined us and he broadcast a Christmas message to us which brought home the depth and mccnirg cf our assignment When Christmas arrived, we were at sea, and we felt mighty important too, as we were solely responsible for the carrier work, carrying the Flag as well as the spirit of The Christmas spirit was especially stimulated when various divisions decorated spaces in festive and traditional style. The S-l division won a prize for their space which featured electric trains running about the tree, a simulated hreplace and a TV set. Sick Bay and B division rivaled supply with ingenious decorations and the Hobby Shop featured a picture window . The machine shop got into the act by erecting a Salvatore Dali tree and Mt. Fuji, which even message by Rear Admiral Whitney, the Task Force Com- mander.
