5444 Qfcdlfazg In the year 1942 a bunch of l1ttle fellows and two gals started school at dear ole Tucna School Those startmg were Walt Gray Bob Hamrll B1l1y Frsher Mrke Gray Dale Nave Drck Sttko Jack Sltton Denny Stark Nora Wtlhelm and Lucrlle Grxffrth The teacher who got these lrttle people off to thetr start of school years was Mrss Delura Dale Nave moved away 1n the second grade and went to Starbuck whrle Drck Srtko waxted unt1l he was rn the fourth grade before he left for Idaho Although thrs class lost some of therr mem bers they also gatned some Bob McKenz1e came here from Spokane and Carol Lund came here from Benge rn the thrrd grade Another was Stephen Anaya who came rn the fourth grade from Calrfornra They thought they d lost Dale and Drck for good but tn the frfth and srxth grades agarn they were gamed Dur1ng that S1XIh year two more puptls were added to thrs class and rwo were lost Garned were Tommy Melse and Paul Parrsh from Benge Lost were Nora Wrlhelm who moved to Pullman and Luctlle Grtffrth who moved to Nrne Mlle Falls In the seventh grade Leonard Olmstead came for awhtle but thts class must have been too much for htm because the next year he left for Boardman Oregon In the seventh grade these ltttle boys were left all alone rn therr class for there were no gtrls to bother them as Carol Lund had been moved up another grade ahead of them Durmg th1s year these dear lrttle creatures drove therr teacher Mr Drake Wmona She was Grnger Brown MCKCHZIC Followmg erghth grade graduatron Brlly Frsher left th1s class for Spangle Well now they have frnally made rt mto hrgh school Durrng the Freshman year Gtnger left for Wtnona and she, came back agarn when a Sophomore Some of the hlghlrghts that entered tnto the ftrst year of hrgh school was Freshman Imtratxon and the return party they had to grve for the Sophomores Dur1ng the Sophomore year they lost Jack Srtton who moved to Rrchland In the Iumor year thrs class gave therr Junror Prom It was cleverly decorated wrth green and whlte streamers wrth a platform set up rn the mrddle of the gym for the orchestra The theme was I ll Remember Apr11 and the mus1c was provrded by Sammy Mazutto and hrs orchestra Thts successful event was repeated the followtng year when they sponsored the Semor Ball For thts dance Al Reeve s Orchestra furmshed the musrc The theme was Blue Moon and the decoratrons were blue and whrte Ftnally the last months of school rolled around Dale Nave left for Qurncy but came back for the Sneak and for Graduatton These Semors were brg people now so they posed for therr class prctures Then came me day for the Semor Sneak whtch wasn t very sneaky as everyone knew where they were gorng Baccalaureate servtces and graduatlon were the last events that followed tn the hrgh school years of these people They deserved those hard earned drplomas GOOD LUCK TO THE CLASS OF 54 into a nervous breakdown.
