Floor leader Dan lVlcEnry pumps from the corner. Coming up with their second successive Trico crown, the 74-75 Panther basket- ball team posted a sharp 19-7 season record, witha 13-1 mark in league. The Panthers also finished second in district, the best finish ever for a Washougal ball club, besides making their fourth straight trip to the state tournament. After splitting their six non-league games, the Panthers went on a tear, winning their first ten league games, including an ex- citing win over then third-ranked Kalama. Outstanding individual efforts by Al Peake Tim Davis, and Jeff Kinart sparked the Panther attack. After a loss to Kalama, they went on to clinch the title. The Panthers took their first two district tests with relative ease to assure them- selves of the trip to state. They then beat Raymond in two overtimes to move into the finals, where they lost to Woodland to finish second. Twe Panthers lost both games at state, but played well in losing their first game, 59-49, to tall Tonasket. Individual honors bestowed on the Panthers included Al Peake, first team All-Trico, Jeff Kinart and Tim Davis, second team, and Dan lVlcEnry, honorable mention. Kinart was top scorer, Peake the top re- bounder, and lVlcEnry, top assists man for the year.
