by John Oyala Versatile Doug Cox takes the tape in the 100 . BOYS TRACK The Panther thinclads boasted several talented individuals, and also cracked 4 school marks. Gerald Gourley set a school mark and finished fourth in state in the pole vault. Other school marks were set by four-event man Doug Cox in the lows, Chris Vllestlund in the high jump, and the 440 relay team. Cox also made it to state in the triple jump. The Panthers were coached l Scott Newkirk runs a tough 220 furlong. Gerald Gourley gets the most from his favorite pole. Panthers Larry Adams and Stewart Brewer shot the hurdles.

GIRUS TRACK T Emerging as one of the top track powers in SVV Washingl ton, the Panther girls had an excellent season. Besides taking the Trico crown, they also copped the sub-dis- trict and district titles. i The Panthers sent a four-girl delegation to the state meet: Traci Tuholsky, Rhonda Brewer, Ruth Peake, and Taina Aho. Traci captured the 100 yard dash title forthe individual highlight. The girls set or tied seven school marks during the sea- son. Outstanding individuals included Aho, Tuholsky, Peake, Steph Knapp, and Gwen Boone.
