Dan has been Trico champ twice, two-time regional champ, and third at state in his senior year. Dan may have finished third, but posted a 28-1 record, a record most champs can't compare to. The 74-75 Washougal wrestling squad capped a successful season by a second place finish at State. At the Trico league tournament, the wrestlers had 5 individual champs, 3 second places, 1 third place and two fourths. Regionals finished with the Panthers in first, plus sending Brent Drake, Dan Sanders, Karl Stefan, Tony Whitmire, IVlark Roth, lVIark Engleman and Jerry Prince to the state meet. The team took their 8th straight Trico team crown. The team was more of a tourney oriented team, as they boasted many indi- vidual talents, but lacked overall depth. In many key matches Dan Harris, Ron Hig- Wfon, Fred Chappell and Pat Christ played an important role, along with the standouts An important member in vital dual meet strategy was senior Duane Delano. The seniors, Karl Stefan, Brent Drake, Dan Sanders, Pat Christ, Duane Delano and lVlark Engleman had a 36-2 league record behind them for their four years. The highlight of these seniors and the team was their second place finish at the state meet. The individual highlights were Brent Drake state champ, lVIark Roth sec- ond place, Dan Sanders third, Tony Whit- mire fourth and Karl Stefan sixth. 5 2 Tony VVhitmire shows the control that won l him a fourth place in State. Mass Choir This year White Sa mon, Stevenson, and Washougal High Schools combined their choirs to make up the Tri-City lVlass choir. Each school had two or three selections of music and then the music was learned by each choir and they joined together on a Saturday evening and presented a two hour program.
