Randy lVlartin shows the basic stick-in- hand method for find- ing a tree s height. lVlicroscopes dominat- ed the scene at the Aquatic life pond. Another dumbfounded customer at Blazing Saddles vvonders why that dumb wood won't burn. Blessed with sunny skies and high spirits, the 1975 Outdoor School, under the direc- tion of Cape Horn-Skye principal Jerry Fritts and student assistants Wes Rust and Dan Sullivan, came off without too much strain. There were the traditional counselors - vs - kids slaughterball games at lunch, the kids who were destined to fall in the creek or pond the afternoon rec lwreckl time, and the kids even had a chance to learn something once in a while. lVlost of all everybody had a ball, and why not, in such a great learn- ing atmosphere? Below: Left to Right the band officers for this year were: Sec .-Treas. Lorrie Greening, Vice President Scott Newkirk, President Debi Bedell. This year the bands were quite active The Stage Band played at several different events for different clubs . Pep Band played at all home basket- ball games and went to state with the basketball team. Concert Band played for football games and joined White Salmon and Stevenson for the lVlass Band . All in all it was a very eventful year for our school's bands . N.
