Student Council Students working on a smoking area proposal , While it is the A.S .B, officers who consult the administration and negotiate the final drafts of such things as smoking areas and student courts, it is the Stu- dent Council that gives its approval for such things as the above . It is usually said, if you don't want anything to be done, send it to a committee . That say- ing did not hold true in this case. Ofthe dozens of committees formed, only one was not successful. Thanks to commit- tees made up of responsible people who do not pass the buck major accomplish- ments such as the smoking area and the student court were made . Useful ex- perience was gained when A.S .B . of- ficers council members, and interested students attended numerous school board meetings to present the Student Council recommendation of the Smoking Area, ,, , i, .
