Wrestling 73-74 The Washougal Wrestling squad of 72-73 had a fair season that very easily could have been bet- ter. ln the Lumber Jack and Clark County tourna- ments the team took 4th in each. ln the Trico League tournament the wrestlers took lst place as a team with 5 individual lst and 6 2nd places . The Regional tournament went fairly smooth with Washougal taking lst and scoring l26l points, that was 295 ahead of nearest team and highest ever scored by a team. Stefan, Nickel and Drake took lst While Whitmire, Stencil, Sanders, and Roth took 2nd . In the State tournament the team took 7th place and scored 372 points. Cross Country Washougal's young Cross Country team had a fair season as they earned one first, three seconds, and three thirds. Highpoint ofthe regular season was a victory over neighboring rival, Camas. At District, they ran their way to a 9th place in the team standings. Highest placing individual, was captain Jeff Nickel who placed 13, This year's squad was led by Senior runner, Jeff Nickel .
