Homemming Marky Finn' S0614 An expectant hush fell over the crowd as the Homecoming princesses were escorted onto the field during the half-time activities of the Washougal-Castle Rock football game. Sparkling with excitement and anticipation, the girls were presented to the admiring crowd. The Drill Team formed the initial of the lucky girl, and the crowd broke into applause as Janet Cox was named Washougal High's 1966 Homecoming Queen. The dance, with the theme of 4'Harvest Moon, was held the following night in the balcony of the High School gym. Highlighting the evening was the coronation of Queen Janet by football captains, Jeff Lightheart and Den- nis Doyle. ,,5'- D ll srss 5 1 y L l l 1966 Homecoming Court includes Ruth Shank Meyer, and Karen Keiser.

1 Is this squaredancing?? iris Ge! Their Chan Harmonizing with the theme of Swingin' Sadie, this yearis Sadie Hawkins Dance was a swingin' success. Held in the cafeteria on the evening of February 17, the dance was spon- sored by the Journalism class. Bright spot of the evening was the announce- ment of Li'l Abner and Daisy Mae. Dale Luthy and Vicki Thrall were chosen for their original costumes. An annual specialty of Sadie Hawkins is the performing of marriages. The gals drag their guys to the local parson's for the ceremony ofliciated by Parson Mark Hatten and Assistant Peggy Locke.
