The year began with the announcement that Ellen Richards had been chosen as Miss United Nations. IRC also had a get-together with the Camas IRC club. , N , f i --fr' 'W R 1 W I 4 German Club seren ades cl asses during Christmas Week. German Club Begzm Fzrst Year President, .lon DeGroote and Vice-President, Rod Burton. German Cluh is a new organization this year, but it has already proved its worthiness. Among its many activities were a trip to Portland for a German dinner in a German restaurant. The members also went to a movie together. During Christmas week, they serenaded the classes With, German Christmas carols. They ended their year with a Waschling Festival, an old German holiday. Treasurer, Gary Steinmeyer and Secretary, Leslie Hornbeck.

Slave eek Creaief Activity Latin Club masters prepare for Slave Week The Slave Week brought much activity to the Latin Club. The week started with the slave sale. First year students were sold to the masters,', gods , and god- desses , which were the second year students and former Latin students. The slaves worked hard to please their masters by clean- ing lockers, running errands, and having penny races up and down the halls. The end of the week was high- lighted by the royal Latin Club Banquet. The slaves', provided the entertainment while the mas- ters , gods , and goddesses feasted. President, Chuck Barber Vice-president, Lois Cotton Secretary-treasurer, Sandy McCary Poor slaves have to practice long hours to present a play to their masters
