1' Donnetta relates her experiences to eager audiences. 2 Donnetta and her German family outside their home. A.F.S. Stzzcleniy Donnetta Brink Donnetta was chosen for an A4.F.S. 'summer exchange student to Germany after completing numerous forms and applications. After being screened by the local A.F.S. board, her application was sent to New York, where the final selection was made. The summer started for Donnetta with a train trip across the United States with several other A.F.S. students. It included a trip to Washington, D.C., and a short stay in New York. From New York, she traveled by ship to Ger- many, where she was met by her first family and was taken to Oifenbach, near Frankfurt, her home for the month of July, Her second month in Cer- many was spent in Meckelstedt, with her second family.

This year., after carrying out the annual Homecoming activities, the big aim of the Student Council has been to make life at W.H.S. more enjoyable for the students. They sponsored a magazine sale, in which the student body took an active interest. With the profit from the magazine sale and other sources, the Student Council was able to purchase two ping-pong ta- bles which are used during the lunch hours and before and after school.
