for Girls at W . .Si .Can Srzicrfaius Each month one of the outstanding senior girls is chosen girl of the month by the Girls' League Council and women faculty. From these girls one is chosen to be girl of the year. She is announced at the Mother-Daughter Tea, which is sponsored by the Girls' League. Soon after school begins freshman girls are assigned big sisters from the senior class. The little sisters obeyed their big sisters on initiation day. Those who failed to obey attended Kangaroo Court. Once a month the girls of W. H. S. meet. Some- times a special program was presented as when Lan Le, foreign exchange student, spoke and showed slides about Viet Nam. In December the girls met to make favors and decorations for some of the hospitals and nursing homes in the area. Girls' League also helped support a child in Viet Nam. The Sock Hop and Miniature Mardi Gras were sponsored by Girls' League. The year drew to a close with the campaign and election of next years' officers. Presenting 'Girl vfMar1fl1 Hracclet
