Later I went to Hessville, a large village, and visited Smith's Self- Service Meat Market. After buying a pound of liverworst, I shook hands with Sandra Smith, who was vacationing from her beauty shop. The next stop was a suburb of Lindsey called Fremont, I stopped in at the Fremont-Lindsey Memorial Hospital and I saw Barbara Linker, chief surgeon. She hurried off telling me she had an appendectomy to perform. Next I drove on the International Highway to San Francisco Naval Base, where I met Phil Hicks, a first class navigator from Annapolis and Gary Yoder, a deep sea diver from the Navy. These two had joined forces and salvaged a pirate treasure in the Pacific. Then I went to Hollywood, where I met Sharon Humburg, private secretary to Elvis Presley. Next stop being held. There I met the HFarmer of the was Missouri, where the annual Farmer's Union Convention was chairman Larry Auxter, who was appointed, Yearn. I also met Betty Wagner who had the grand champion steer at the International Livestock Exposition.
