J. V.'S PREPARE FOR VARSITY loft to Right: Mr. Elmore, R. Wing, D. Pennington, D. Flickinger, B. Wienckowski, N. Culp, B. Black M. Kline, R. Bowman, I.. Hackman, V. Gabriel, J. Klingelhofter, R. Milliron. The Junior Varsity basketball team provided good entertainment and many thrills this year to its audiences. Their games were played as preliminary contests to the varsity games and their breath-taking comebacks caused much excitement among the many spectators. Under the able guidance of Mr. Elmore, the players were able to greatly improve their skill in basketball which perhaps will lead them to eventual careers on the varsity basketball team.

Wing, D. Pennington Mr. Kinkead. On your mark . . . get set . . . go! These words, with the accompanying crack of the gun, have been the start of more than one victory for our track team. Our team was impressive in nearly every contest it participated in this year, and the excellent scores of our players prove it. To top off their already excellent records, Lang Marks won the iavelin in W.P.I.A.L. competition, and Don Shockey won in the 880-yard run. This is certainly quite an honor and the team was very fortunate to have had these and all the others boys on the team to make this a highly successful season.
