The Junior Tri-Hi-Y is an organization much like her older sister, the Senior Tri-Hi-Y. Its membership is exclusively for the girls of the Junior high school. Some of its projects this year included the collection of food and toys for worthy families during the Christ- mas season. In order to increase their treasury for these worthy projects, the Jr. Tri-Hi-Y sponsored bake sales and candy sales, and sold Raider emblems. JUNIOR HI-V IURODUCES GOOD CITIZENS The Junior Hi-Y is an organization consisting of young men in the iunior high who are interested in serving others and developing their character and personality. The Hi-Y sponsored a Chirstmas dance and held a cake sale to raise money. Mr. Richey, in his first year of teaching at our school, successfully guided the club as it strove towarcl constant betterment of the community. The Key Club is an organization of young men affiliated with the Vandergrift Kiwanis Club. Its membership is composed of boys who are in the Senior high school. Candidates for membership must be voted for and accepted by the entire group in order to assure quality and limit quantity. Mem- bers of the Key Club attend bi-weekly meetings of the Kiwanis club in Vandergrift. The Key Club sponsored a dance called the Key Club Caper and sold pens in school colors with football scores printed on them in order to acquire money for such projects as sending baskets of food to needy families during the Easter season.
