HOME EC. CLUB - FUTURE HONIENIAKERS Lett to Right: Eileen Manning, Vice-President, Jane Schneider, President, Dorothy Casner, Historian, Mrs. Spurloclc, Advisor: Joyce Kiebler, Secretary, Flavia Smith, Parliamentariung and Anita Guinipero, Treasurer. The Home Ec. Club is composed of aspiring young fhomemakers of the Senior high school. This industrious group of young women presented the Christmas and Spring Style shows for the entertain- ment of the public. This year they sold candy during the lunch hour, and sponsored a successful dance called the Sham-Rock on St. Patrick's Day. The members attended the Flower Show and visited Heinz Plant in Pittsburgh. The Home Ec. Club presented the Home Economics department of our school with two punch bowls, over 'IOO cups, a lace tablecloth, and a flower bowl with matching candle holders. First Row, Left to Right: S. Singing in light secular three-part harmony, it is an extracurricular activity strictly for musical enjoyment. Specializing in seasonable repertoires, they have presented programs for Christmas, Easter, spring or whatever the occasion re- quires. Eighteen members sang with Pittsburgh Bicentennial Chorus, May 10, 1958 at the Syria Mosque. Four members represented our school at County Chorus.

JUNIOR HI-V IURODUCES GOOD CITIZENS The Junior Hi-Y is an organization consisting of young men in the iunior high who are interested in serving others and developing their character and personality. The Hi-Y sponsored a Chirstmas dance and held a cake sale to raise money. Mr. Richey, in his first year of teaching at our school, successfully guided the club as it strove towarcl constant betterment of the community.
