DEDICATION The first record of formal schooling in Washington Township dates back to 1808 and by election the first public school was started in 1836. We couldnit find pictures of any of those buildings, but with the progress of the past 15 years probably a lot of people have forgotten these one room schools that were located in Oklahoma ...but they were a step in the story of Progress for the Washing- ton Township School District. 5
