enior Cfadd proladecy My what a job, trying to predict what my classmates will be doing in ten or twenty years. Now let's see, I might start with . . . let's speed up the progress of time some twenty . . . oh my, l'm sleepy, but I must continue. Let's speed up the progress of time some twenty years to see what has happened to our class. . . ma-t . . e . . s . . . . What's that below me? Why it's the most beautiful and modern city l've ever seen! I can see the name on the hangar at the airport. It says Blairton Airport, Robert C. McMahon, owner. For goodness sake, it's Blairton and Bob McMahon has finally quit flying Buicks and is concentrating on airplanes. Don't tell me that beautiful four story building with glass brick windows, air-conditioning, and escalators is Washington Township High School! But that's what it says on the corner stone: Washington Township High School . . . June I965 . . . Built by V. Pisone Construction Co. What a nice stadium there in the rear and I see football practice is in full swing. There's Coach Bence standing in the middle shouting, Come on you guys, only six more laps and an hour of scrimmage. But what's that fierce blast from the gym? Why, it's basketball coach Conner blowing his whistle for action. I'm not satisfied with just seeing the outside. I'm going to sneak inside. BOOM! l've been caught! Oh no, it's just science professor Reed still trying to build a supersonic Plymouth. Here's a door marked Dancing Instructor and there's Diane Brinker trying to teach Jim Lula the Charles- ton. Who could that be scrubbing the floor at the other end of the hall? Why it's Donald Walker! He must still be working his way through college. Here's good old Room 6, but no Miss Ramaley. Wait now, there she is, observing from her Cracking! chair at the back of the room. Then who is that teacher saying, lm afraid we'll be outlining soon. ? Now I know, it's Eileen Waltenbaugh. Either Mr. Roberts is dyeing his hair blond and using a French accent or, yes it is, it's Mick Mac- Donald teaching French in Room 7. But now I must leave. Say, I wonder why that girl is sitting on the steps in front of the school. Oh, of course! That's Virginia Kocur waiting for Don. Why look at Barclay's! lt's no longer a gas station and store. The sign there says, Penn Auto Parts, D. Klaes and A. Frye owners. Buicks repaired by skilled repairmen. Now let's see just what other modern ideas have invaded Blairton. There it is! I knew they'd have a theatre. My, what up to date pictures they're showing. I see Carolyn Clifton's racy new novel, Forever Carolyn has been made into a prize-winning movie starring Roeburn Bowman as Tyrone and Mary Gulyas as Carolyn. Also, in person this week, BeBop Dransite and his All Girl Dance Band. The next week features Blairton Ernie and his Musical Farm Hands in a return engage- ment to the old home town. Who could that be roller skating down the main street? With that blond hair, it could only be Whitey Pratt. He's practicing for his roller skating debut at Madison Square Gardens next month. What could that huge building at my left be used for? The neon sign in front says, The Secre- tarial Rental Association of Bertieri, Slaughtenhaupt, Dickson and Linsenbigler . . . S. Gumbert, chief bookkeeper. There's another sign of progress . . . the Chamber of Commerce Building. Looking through the window marked president, I see that Homer Kline is seated behind the desk. The person talking to him looks so familiar. Why yes, it's Bob Elwood, now a professional basketball player, getting a little advice from his former teammate. Who's that running into the office? lt's township engi- neer Leonard Hartman. Must be some more trouble in
