ur CA-wa .jshafory CHARACTERS: The Class of 1951 First Act Time: 1947-1948 Place: That monstrous high school where we all felt lost, Washington Twp. Setting: Room 7 with Miss Black and Room 8 with Miss Peters. Plot: Consists of fun and study. The studies were the usual Freshmen curricula taught by teachers whom we were surprised to find very human. The fun was, first of all, just being in high school. Shall we ever forget the pep meetings and the noon jamborees ? Then came Christmas and va- cation followed by our first tries at assembling, Room 7 turned green Cfor Saint Patrick's Dayij Room 8 had Mrs. O'Leary's Cow for their assembly and we surprised everybody with our talent. Before we knew it the Coronation Ball, with two of our very own members in the court, and the end of school were upon us so we went home to wait for the fall of 1948. Second Act Time: 1948-1949 Place: Washington Township High School. Setting: Room 4 with Mrs. Bossart and Room 1 with Miss Snively. Plot: More fun and even less time. We were always busy . . . with ball games . . . dances . . . practices . . . Room four's memorable Armistice Day Assembly . . . Christmas then Room One's never to be forgotten Minstrel, black faces, jokes and all. Again spring caught us unaware and we again elected Homer and Doris as our representatives in the royal court and prepared for a long vacation. 1 947 ,iw ws,
